Introducing the Newest Member of the the Team: Charlotte Ellen
This month we are over the moon to welcome Charlotte Ellen into the mix! Witney-born and bred, Charlotte is incredibly creative and loves to design and make an incredible array of clothing in her spare time. Beyond Your Brand are so lucky to be able to make use of her creative eye. Find out a little more about her, here!
Q1: Do you have a favourite charity you wish more people knew about?
Samaritans is a phone and email service for anyone who’s struggling to cope with emotions. They help people by teaching them new skills so that they not only help people through a crisis, but also prevent another one from happening in the future. My generation are more likely than any other to speak out about mental health, so charities like Samaritans are more important than ever.
Q2: What’s one of your favourite memories?
Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE Hamilton The Musical. On one particular visit to the show I was invited to go backstage to see the set and costumes, and meet some of the cast!
Q3: What’s something you want to do in the next year that you’ve never done before?
I’d like to design and sell my own clothing in my spare time.
Q4: If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
Keep learning and being creative, I just love making things!
Q5: What have you been getting up to during quarantine?
Most of my free time has been spent sewing face masks to sell for charity, I’ve probably made over 100! Aside from that, I’ve also been cooking and taking lots of photos.
Q6: What is your life motto?
‘Ask yourself if what you’re doing today is getting you closer to where you want to be tomorrow.’
Q7. What are three things still left on your bucket list?
- Visit Asia.
- Complete a physical challenge such as climbing a mountain.
- Have my name in credits.
Q8: if someone was to play you in a movie, who would you want it to be?
Cara Delevingne. I’d like to be her when I grow up.
Q9: why did you want to work for beyond your brand?
I may not say it enough but I’ve always been incredibly proud of my father, Paul, for taking the leap into starting a business. He’s always made sure to keep a space for me if I wanted it. I began doing training a few days a week and I soon realized that working with Beyond Your Brand would allow me to learn and expand my knowledge, test both my creative and analytical skills, give me enough flexibility to work in an environment I’m truly comfortable with, and I get to work with some wonderful people!
