Google Ad Grant Management for Nonprofits

Google Ad Grants provide charities and nonprofits with USD10,000 (equivalent to around £7,900) in free Google Ads funding each month, helping you to increase awareness, attract donors, and drive meaningful engagement to reach your goals.
However, while this grant offers a fantastic opportunity, maximising its potential requires expert knowledge on factors such as compliance and keyword research. Strict ad policies and ongoing performance requirements mean that without the right strategy, your charity may struggle to make the most of the available budget or could be at risk of losing the Grant altogether by becoming non-compliant and having your account suspended.
That’s where Beyond Your Brand’s professional Google Ad Grant management comes in. As Google Partners, our team will ensure your nonprofit not only meets Google's compliance rules but also achieves real, measurable results that make a difference to your charity!

FAQs
If you’re unsure if you qualify for a Google Ad Grant, we’re here to help. Google outlines that you must meet their website policy and program policies, as well as the following:
- Must be registered as a charitable organisation in a country or region where the Google Ad Grant is available (such as the UK).
- Must agree to the Google for Nonprofits Additional Terms of Service.
- Must not be a government entity or organisation, a hospital or healthcare organisation, or a school, academic institution, or university.
- UK charities must be registered with the charity regulator in England and Wales (Charity Commission), Northern Ireland (NICC), or Scotland (OSCR); or HMRC as charitable tax-exempt charities or churches.
The Google Ad Grant application process typically takes around five business days, but can take longer in some cases. For example, you’ll need to be enrolled on Google for Nonprofits to apply for the ad grant, which can take a few days to a week for approval.
This is dependent on several things, with the number of ad groups within a campaign being one of the biggest deciding factors. A campaign can have any number of ad groups; each of which would take around 45 minutes to create. That time includes a number of tasks such as keyword research, competitor analysis, creating and optimising 15 headline variations and 4 description variations. Your Google Ad Grant account could have any number of campaigns within it - this all depends on your specific goals and target keywords.
Yes! Nonprofits can run paid ads alongside Grant-funded ads. This is often useful for targeting highly competitive keywords that Google Ad Grants can restrict (eg. big events like the London Marathon). We’re experienced in Pay-Per-Click (PPC) services, so please contact us if you’d like support with this, too.
Our Google ad grant packages start at £700 for the initial set up, which is roughly 10 hours of work. However, in some cases, (eg. depending on the size of your campaigns) this may take longer. Don’t worry; before we start, we will confirm how long we expect the setup stage to take, and due to our years of experience, this tends to be almost spot on.
